INTRODUCTION

Mobile telephony sector has been booming in DR Congo since many years now, and Kinshasa represents the biggest market for all mobile operators (Africell, Airtel, Orange, Tigo and Vodacom) due to the fact that all of them focus first of all in Kinshasa before spreading into provinces.

The need for figures on Kinshasa about mobile telephony has always been required, and for this purpose, Target decided to interview a representative sample of Kinshasa people in order to assess the penetration rate of mobile telephony, numbers of Sim cards used, use of Smartphones as well as positioning of Operators and Satisfaction of subscribers.
