Target Participation in SAMRA conference 2013 at Johannesburg in South Africa
TARGET Managing Director (Serge Mumbu) attended SAMRA Conference 2013 that took place from 16 to 17 May 2013 at THABA YA BATSWANA hostel in Johannesburg/South Africa. SAMRA is the association of professionals in market research for southern Africa and is included in associations affiliated to ESOMAR (World Association of professionals of market research based at Amsterdam in Netherland). Two ESOMAR workshops preceded the conference on 15 May 2013 and TARGET Managing Director attended the workshop related to transfer and application of consumers’ insights lead by Andrew Vincent (Chief Examiner for qualitative module in United Kingdom Market Research society) and Sangeela Gupta (Consumer Insights PepsiCo Officer, India).
This conference has been an occasion for all participants not only to discover news evolutions in market research field (online research, mobile research, social media research, neuromarketing…) but also exchange with professionals of the field coming from many countries around the world (South Africa, Australia, Belgium, Great Britain, India, Netherland, Ghana, Egypt, DR Congo…). It is also about both representatives of surveys’ agencies (Ipsos, TNS, AC Nielsen, Target Sprl…) as well as customers (Heineken, Telko, Standard Bank…).
Amongst these fruitful exchanges of Target Managing Director, we will keep in mind the one with Dan FOREMAN (President of ESOMAR) that demonstrated the desire of seeing DR Congo be also equipped with an ESOMAR representative mainly in charge of recruiting new ESOMAR members in DR Congo and promoting international codes and practices regarding market researches and opinion surveys. An application of Serge Mumbu shall be submitted to ESOMAR authorities in days to come.
