Target presenting results of its researches related to Lubumbashi press
In order to promote market research behavior, and presenting to the public, the results of market researches recently achieved at Lubumbashi, Target SARL, represented by its General Manager, Serge MUMBU, invited the main media of Lubumbashi (i.e. KYONDO, MWANGAZA, MALAIKA, NYOTA and Radio Okapi) to a press release organized 20 June 2015 at Hotel du Centre.
Four researches have been presented to the press: “Preferred Celebrities of Lubumbashi People”, “Statistics on Lubumbashi Media”, “Use of Banks” and “Key figures on mobile telephony at Lubumbashi”. For about 2hours, Serge MUMBU briefly spoke on the key results by insisting on the fact that advertisers or corporates should not commit the mistake of switching around to Lubumbashi results issued from researches carried out at Kinshasa. As a matter of fact, these two locations are different and even their results are demonstrating the fact especially as regards the most followed programs; Lubumbashi is more focused on information and sport, while Kinshasa mostly prefer music and drama.
And it is the same for celebrities, whereas there are local celebrities (from Lubumbashi) that are more appreciated in the field of sports, media, advertisement as well as drama/movies. The same fact is noticed on the field of mobile telephony whereas some operators have got a larger portion of Kinshasa market, but weaker portion considering Lubumbashi.
We are to keep on our mind that market researches are very important insofar as they allow making good decisions and mitigating mistakes.
