On the 19th January 2018, Target organized new-year wishes ceremony between the General Manager and all consultants.

Target: Consultants trained to work on new projects

From 23 to 26 February 2016, Target organized a training dedicated to its best consultants that are most of time dispatched on the field during quantitative studies. In four days, they learned fundamentals of market researches and different stages of both quantitative and qualitative researches. Beyond simple execution of instruction on the field, these consultants could more effectively bring contribution to the development, execution and presentation of a study.
Hortense MBUMBA, Project Manager within Target, does affirm that the training was to deal with updating of consultants as regards market researches. They therefore reviewed basics of market researches (definition, types of researches, qualitative, quantitative, desk research…), methods of data collection used, etc.
The Training officer then made a review of manual dealing with procedures of quantitative and qualitative researches. Consultants learned different stages for achieving a (qualitative and quantitative) research and made some exercises on development of guidelines, questionnaire, quotas’ data sheet, recruitment form, coding instructions, as well as drafting of quantitative and qualitative research.
“The goal of this training was to perfect our consultants and collaborators in market researches for us to be able to closely work with people tasked with researches from preparation stage of a research project (quotas, questionnaire, dispatching…), field management, up to analysis and drafting (coding, writing), this is to be done for making the agency capable of achieving several researches at the same time.” explained Hortense MBUMBA.
“This training allowed us to know the backstage of a market research since sometimes we are having training on a market research without knowing how to develop documents that are to be use on the field. Not only we better understand all the rambling development of market research but further we can fully participate in drafting, execution as well as presentation of results” Rejoiced Elyane RUDAHINDWA, Supervisor within Target, right at the end of this training.
Jossard KATUNDA, is IT consultant and Supervisor at Project Department within Target. At the end of this training, he stated: “We were already participating in project yet without knowing how they are backed up from development up to final stage. Now, we know better how it should be done. I think that with this training, consultants can be more involved in complex projects to be conducted both in provinces and abroad.”
Target is planning to make another training for this end of March. This one shall be dedicated to consultants that were well assessed in analysis and writing. These consultants shall learn moderation of focus groups and individual interview but also simultaneous note – taking (during discussions of groups).
After Kinshasa, the same programs shall be taught to Target consultants based in provinces and abroad (Congo, Rwanda…).
