3rd of Makutano business network: Serge Mumbu ‘’ The best local career awards”

Friday 15th September 2017, Makutano officially launched its 3rd edition activities. The theme of this 3rd edition was DRC industrialization which gathered more than 400 entrepreneurs and economic actors from many sides. A part from conferences and other activities planned, the 3rd edition gave awards to entrepreneurs who stand out within various categories.

It was about outreach international awards, the best female entrepreneur awards, the best governance awards, diaspora awards, the best local career awards. Serge Mumbu, General Manager of Target Sarl, was nominated for best local career awards won the awards.

A part from the trophy, the awards is a real recognition of efforts made by local talents to set up wining businesses. In fact, the particular element which differentiated Serge Mumbu from its competitors was his full local career.

He is really ‘’ The best local career awards” of Makutano 3rd edition because he has done his primary, secondary and universities studies in DRC. After his studies, Serge Mumbu and other Congolese friend’s set up a research agency he left 12 years after to create Target Sarl, an agency specialized in market research and consulting. Serge Mumbu ‘choice as ‘’ The best local career awards” is also explained by the fact that he succeeded in launching market research, a very complex field considering the country background and is able to set foot prints of his brand within the field.

Serge sees Makutano network as a group which helped him build relationships and win market research studies. Serge Mumbu point of view on Makutano «The good thing is that Congolese (from here and Diaspora) as well as foreigners investors interested by Congolese market are capable to have an interaction and  exchange platform, and Target should be part of this…within Makutano network, the reliable research agency for market research and statistics in DRC is Target ». It is in line with this that Target offers statistics on Congolese market (data on population, ownership of goods, revenues, etc.) in order to help investors within the field.
