Perception of public and private companies in DRC

Many private and public companies are present in DRC and provide to consumers variety of products and services. Target conducted a survey among Congolese to measure perceptions towards those companies.

Thirteen public companies and seventeen private companies present in DRC where part of the study. These companies were selected based on their presence within most regions and /or their awareness among Congolese. Regarding these companies perception, people interviewed had to choose among five suggested assertions ‘’very good”, ‘’bad’’, ‘’Does not know enough to have an opinion’’, ‘’good”, “Don’t know/ no answer’’.

Here are few abstracts of the survey you can buy at our store on line at www.target-sarl.com

On this study, one can for instance know that companies well perceived are Radio Télévisons Nationale Congolaise, RTNC but, with only 48%, followed by la Régie des Voies Aériennes, RVA with 47%. Those having a ‘’negative’’ perception among Congolese is Société Nationale d’Electricité (SNEL). Under this negative perception, SNEL is followed by REGIDESO; the company which distributes potable water. There also these public companies not well known, or not known at all, at the point they cannot give a point on the services they provide. Within this category, l’Office de Gestion des Frets Maritimes (OGEFREM) comes first, followed by Congolaise des Postes et Télécommunications (SCPT) and Société Nationale d’Assurance (SONAS); both have same scores.

Private companies were also involved on the study and the same categorization was done. Telecoms companies, mining companies, brewery companies, oil companies….all the seventeen companies were carefully evaluated by Congolese on which they gave their appreciation.  Results of all companies are classified per category and per region. So, General Managers of these companies can buy this report to know how their companies are perceived among Congolese.
