Participation of TARGET in ESOMAR Congress 2013

The GRAND CEVAHIR HOTEL of Istanbul in Turkey hosted the 66th ESOMAR Congress (The world association of professional market research) from September 22 to 25, 2013. TARGET SPRL was represented by its General Manager Serge Mumbu.

The general theme of this Congress was "THINK BIG" and was about how the market research industry should evolve in an increasingly context of globalization, where consumers are more and more turned to the Internet and new technologies, which will require major innovations in the market research industry especially in terms of collection methods and data analysis.

Like all participants in the Congress, the General Manager of TARGET SPRL visited the different stands of companies and organizations. He also assisted to several presentations and ceremonies according to the official program below. On the sidelines of the conference, other activities and meetings were organized in order to exchange and share their respective experiences on the practice of market research. This is particularly the case of BREAKFAST WIN / GALLUP INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION who presented this year at the ESOMAR Congress the results of a global survey on people's fears about the future and the leadership to bring peace in the world. Contacts have been made for a possible membership of TARGET SPRL to the GALLUP network that includes research firms of more than 77 countries from all continents.

The key lesson learned by TARGET SPRL participation in the ESOMAR Congress is, for market research firm, the urgent need to adapt to the new collection tools , data analysis and presentation of study results (online and offline panel , CAPI , infographic, ... ) . Steps will be taken to our partners (customers, banks, lenders ...) for the progressive integration of all these new tools in the functioning of TARGET SPRL in 2014.
